1:20 to 2:45 - SkySafari
  • Basic capabilities and menus
  • How to update the database with the latest comet and asteroid locations
  • How to use the Time function to see how the sky changes over time
  • How to display the field of view for your specific scope, eyepieces, Barlows, cameras, etc.
  • How to create a personal observing list and record your observations
2:45 to 2:55 - Break

3:00 to 4:00 - Stellarium
  • Basic capabilities and menus
  • How to use Date/Time to see how the sky changes over time
  • How to display the field of view for your specific scope, eyepieces, Barlows, cameras, etc.

Using the Sky Safari App & Stellarium software

Overview of using a Planisphere and Star Charts


What we will cover:
Basic capabilities and menus

How to update the database with the latest comet and asteroid locations
How to use the Time function (Date/Time in Stellarium) to see how the sky changes over time
How to display the field of view for your specific scope, eyepieces, Barlows, cameras, etc.
How to create a personal observing list and record your observations (Sky Safari only)

Open to anyone 9 years and older.  We need at least 8 registrants in order to hold the workshop.
