The monthly DVAA Astrophotography Workshop is a free, open session for participants to discuss and share images and techniques. (In general, the workshop falls on the Wednesday before the monthly DVAA General Meeting.)
Please note that we will not have the Beginner's Q&A segment this month. Forgoing this will allow more time for Agapios' presentation (see below) and because of the time difference between us and Cyprus.
We are privileged at this month's workshop to have Agapios Elia as our guest speaker. Agapios will be discussing and demonstrating how he captures and processes his world class planetary images. If conditions permit, Agapios will attempt to capture Saturn and/or Jupiter during our live Zoom session from his home country, Cyprus.
Agapios is widely known in the astronomy community for his exceptionally detailed planetary and lunar images, and has presented at astro-imaging workshops extensively. He was involved with the planning of the Troodos Observatory in Cyprus, which serves as a center for scientific research, education, and public outreach regarding astronomy. In addition to his astronomy activities, Agapios was one of the assistant directors of the 2026 documentary film, "Troodos: Rising to the Stars".
I doubt there will be time after the presentation for a Show & Tell session, so please save your recent images for the November AP Workshop where we'll dedicate the whole workshop to Q&A and Show & Tell.
The event is live streamed to the
@DelawareValleyAmateurAstro YouTube Channel.
NOTE: The Zoom link does not change and will only become active and working during the actual meeting time. No registration is required.
