Sun spots on April 20 morning
Author Last Post
Here are a couple of sunspot captures I was able to take today with my TeleVue 85 and iPhone 12 Pro. It was a little cloudy at the time but I thought they came out well enough to share.

Very nice! Especially impressed with the wealth of surface detail.

Good image….

Prasad,

Very nice pictures of the Sun! I do not own a solar scope and it's always a treat for so see current images of the Sun. Great job capturing the filaments and prominences. The images show quite a bit of detail. I am particularly impressed at how well the you were able to show the filaments contrast against the Sun's photosphere, that is no easy feat. In addition, I love all the prominences you captured dancing around the edge of the disk extending the Sun's corona.

Well done!

It's always a treat to see the Sun and it's fun to track it's activity over time. I am looking forward to seeing how these features progress, keep them coming.

I took these images on April 20 morning. I used my Lunt 60mm solar scope and my new ZWO ASI224MC planetary camera, captured with ASICap software. This is my very first shot at imaging. All previous attempts were disasters.
