Looks great! They actually touched on these Arp galaxies in a talk on Friday afternoon.

Thanks Bill.  It didn't post the attachment the first time so I deleted the original post and tried it again.  I believe the second attempt had the attached image of M51.

Here it is just in case it failed both times.

Gary

Hey Gary, I don't think the image loaded.

Tracey and I spent four nights (five days) up at Cherry Springs from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to the following Wednesday. I had the opportunity to image most of all four nights while Tracey worked on competing her AL Messier list.

On the last two nights I decided to try imaging with my small Celestron C6 SCT without any focal reducer or field flattener to see how it would do. Here is one of the images I took on Tuesday night.

M51 taken on 5/31/2022 from ~10:15pm

to 11:05pm EDT at Cherry Springs.

Celestron C6 (1,700mm, f/11),

ZWO ASI2600MC, ~50min Exp,

(10min subs at Gain of 50),

IR/UV Block Filter

Calib: Darks, Flats, Flat Darks, Biases

North is Right & East is Up

Clear skies,

Gary
