A Work In Progress

As a number of you will be aware, the website is going through a major re-write. As such, I would like to ask for your patience, but more importantly, your input. By re-platforming on Club Express we get to step up our game, especially in terms of site usability, features, member participation and communications.

As one example of this, I just uploaded 60 photos of my recent trip to Casper, WY to see the great American Eclipse. No great whoop, there, you may say--any number of sites support photo-albums--but it turns out that each and every registered member can do the same. And it was super easy; took less than five minutes.

In the coming weeks there will be a bunch of new features coming online (star-party email alerts, automated renewals, event management, QuickenPro integration, bulk emails, donations, mobile-specific customizations,reporting, and more) plus a whole lot of content. Moreover, we'll be sending out emails to the entire membership with their logon info so members can take advantage of the new member-only features (newsletter archive, maps to member-only sites, etc.). As you president I'm particularly excited about the collaboration tools that will allow your board and committee chairs to continue to improve the site.
