You're invited to a fun-filled afternoon of craft making, pumpkin painting, and more! Come by for an hour or stay all day as we kick off Halloween weekend and celebrate the birds of Mill Grove.
Then, when the sun sets and the moon rises, join Damien Ruffner, Audubon’s Discovery Center Program Manager, as he introduces you to the night sky! Amateur astronomy is a wonderful and fun hobby, but with literally BIILLIONS of stars in the Milky Way alone, it can be intimidating to start. What do I look for first? What equipment do I need? Damien will guide you as you begin your journey into the starry night to discover autumn wonders such as the Andromeda Galaxy and, our personal favorite, the Owl Nebula.
Museum admission and Halloween activities are free all day. Bring your own pumpkin or paint one of ours! Pumpkins available while supplies last.
